Dr. Branesh Madhavan Pillai is a distinguished figure in the field of medical robotics, renowned for his innovative contributions and visionary leadership. Dr. Pillai received his Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering (Medical Robotics) from Mahidol University, Thailand in 2019, Masters by Research in Control Systems from the University of Moratuwa in 2013, and Bachelor’s Degree from Anna University, India in 2007. He is currently a Faculty Member at the Center for Biomedical and Robotics Technology (BART LAB), Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University. Additionally, he is engaged in clinical research at CARE LAB (Clinical Anatomy and Research Education), Department of Surgery, Faculty of Medicine, Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University, Thailand. His main fields of expertise include Medical Robotics and the work related to Advanced Motion Control, Robot-Assisted Surgery, Biomechanics and Rough Terrain Rescue Robot is the area of his interest systems.
